Privacy Policy
Knights Templar 2.0 (“KT20,” “we,” “us”) runs kt20.org. This notice says what we collect on that site, why we collect it, and how to reach us. It covers the public site, the membership form, Donate, the Shop, the members login, and the chat widget.
Effective date: 6 October 2026.
Contact for privacy requests: newtemplarsorder@gmail.com. Knights Templar 2.0, Waldorf, Maryland, United States.
Who we are
KT20 is a voluntary Christian order. The site is how we publish, take members, receive gifts, and sell official goods. We are not a government. We do not collect a tax on this site. Gifts are voluntary and are received only through the Donate page or the Shop.
Information you give us
Membership. If you submit Become a Member, we receive the fields on that form: first name, last name, email, birthday (month, day, and year), address if you enter one, and your confirmation of the code of conduct. Birthday is used to confirm that you are 18 or older. We do not take members under 18. After you join, we email you to ask which role you want. That reply is kept with your membership record.
Donate and Shop. If you give a gift or buy from the Shop, checkout collects what the order needs: name, email, billing details, shipping details if a good is shipped, the amount, and the item. Card numbers are entered in the checkout and handled by the site’s payment processor (Wix Payments, or the processor Wix assigns to this site). Do not send card numbers, bank numbers, or passwords to newtemplarsorder@gmail.com or into the chat.
Chat. The “Chat with us” control is a site chat. Messages you type there, and the time of the chat, may be stored so we can reply. Do not put payment cards, passwords, or government ID numbers in the chat.
Email. If you write to newtemplarsorder@gmail.com, we keep the message and your address so we can answer and, if you are a member, so we can keep the membership record straight.
Information collected automatically
Wix, which hosts kt20.org, uses cookies and similar tools to run the site, keep you logged in, remember a cart, measure traffic, and protect against abuse. A cookie is a small file stored on your device. You can block cookies in your browser. If you block them, login, cart, and checkout may not work.
The host also receives ordinary technical logs: IP address, browser type, pages opened, and the time of the visit. We use those logs to keep the site up and to diagnose faults. We do not use them to build a sale file of visitors.
Members login
The members area uses Wix Members. If you create a login, we receive the email and the login record. You choose the password. We do not ask you to send the password to us. Members-only pages are for members. Do not share the login.
How we use information
• To open and keep your membership, including the age check.
• To send the role-selection email and later membership mail you asked for by joining.
• To receive a gift, fulfill a Shop order, and deal with a failed payment or a return.
• To answer chat and email.
• To run, secure, and fix the site.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not give membership lists to other organizations for their marketing. We do not use the birthday for anything except the age floor and the membership record.
Who else receives it
Wix hosts the site, the members login, the shop, the donate checkout, and the chat widget, and processes that information for us. The payment processor receives checkout data to take the payment. Email you send to newtemplarsorder@gmail.com is received through that mailbox provider.
If you follow a link to X, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, or an affiliate merchant, that site’s own notice applies after you leave kt20.org. Official KT20 goods stay on the Shop. Affiliate links, where used, are labeled on the Shop With Us page.
We may share information if the law requires it, or to answer a valid legal process. We may also share it if needed to stop fraud or abuse of the site.
How long we keep it
Membership records are kept while you are a member and for a reasonable period after you leave, so we can honor the leaving and answer a later question about the record. Order and gift records are kept as long as tax and accounting records are kept. Chat and email are kept long enough to finish the conversation and to keep a record of it. You may ask us to delete a membership record. We will delete what we are not required to keep.
Your requests
Email newtemplarsorder@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy request.” You may ask what membership information we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to close the membership and delete the record we are not required to keep. We will answer at the email we have for you. We may ask you to confirm that the request is yours.
California residents may ask whether we sell personal information. We do not. You may still send the request above.
Children
The site is not directed to children. Membership is 18 or older. If you believe a child has sent us a form, email us and we will delete that submission.
Changes
If we change this notice, we will change the effective date on this page. The current notice is always the one published at https://www.kt20.org/privacy-policy.
