Knights Templar 2.0 is a modern Order of Christians, under no church, formed because an invasion is under way and the churches are not answering it. It keeps the Templar charge: a shield for the faith and for the people who live by it. It also keeps the Templar method. The old Order was always smaller than the invaders it faced. It did not match them man for man. It multiplied a few brothers with the best tools of the age, with strongholds, with a written rule, and with a house economy that paid for the line. That pattern is what is carried forward. The field is no longer a castle road. It is the social and economic life of Christian countries.

The same necessity. The first Templars were not formed in a quiet time. Their numbers stayed small. At Harim in 1164, seven survived out of sixty-seven. At La Forbie in 1244, thirty-three lived out of three hundred knights on the field. In their own time they stopped the invasion from finishing its work. They lost Harim, La Forbie, the Horns of Hattin, and at last Acre, then fortified, resupplied by sea, and held again. Montgisard showed the other side: a small Christian force, Templars among them, broke a far larger invading army. Atlit was never taken by storm. The Latin East was not kept forever. The method was. Fewer men. Better tools. Income behind the line.

The invasion now is the steady entry, settlement, and cultural replacement of peoples who do not share the Christian inheritance of these lands, helped by weak borders and weak law. Many churches chose silence or self-preservation. The Order does not wait for a synod. It does not replace the Church’s spiritual role. It fills the public gap the churches left.

What a smaller Order used. The heavy charge, fortresses a few men could hold, a fleet, the rule of Troyes in 1129, and letters of credit. Commanderies ran grain, vines, sheep, mills, and presses, and sent responsions east to pay for the line. Poverty was the vow of the man, not the policy of the house. From that network came a base for later banking: deposit in France, letter of credit in the East, accounts at the Paris Temple, royal treasure at the London Temple, loans, pensions, and exchange. Pilgrims gained an escort and a safe deposit. A small Order gained supply along its own houses.

No church. Open to every Christian who follows Jesus. Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, and independent believers join on the same terms. No ethnic test and no party test. The conduct test binds everyone: follow Jesus, obey the law, never begin a conflict, prefer preaching, prayer, and peaceful persuasion, kindness and love required, no forced baptism, no coercion, no destruction of any place of worship, no collective punishment. A member may leave at any moment. The Order is not a state.

The charge now is witness, innovation, lawful business and Christian economic solidarity, relief, lawful advocacy, and self-defense only if attacked. The Orbis Christianus Decree of Grand Master John Von Alvensleben is the framework. Enforcement is preaching, prayer, public promotion, peaceful persuasion, and self-defense against initiated violence. Gifts stay voluntary, through kt20.org.
